The Presidents Cup

After many rounds of the Presidents Cup only 4 teams remained and they would do battle over Puckrup Hall on Sunday 8th October looking to be crowned Champions. The Semi final match ups were Ross-on-Wye GC v Players Club and Minchinhampton v Lilley Brook. With the weather unseasonally warm and the golf course looking great, things were set up perfectly.

Following in a similar suit to the semi final matches the 3rd place play off would be prove to be a tight affair but Lilley Brook edged it 3-2 giving them 3rd place.

Our thanks must go to Puckrup Hall Golf club and its members for allowing us the use of the course and for keeping everyone fed and watered throughout the day. We truly appreciate it. We hope to see many clubs enter the Presidents Cup next year where Ross-on-Wye GC will look to defend their title.
