If so, the Gloucestershire Golf Union has a fantastic volunteering opportunity to join our team in the position of Under 16 Assistant Team Manager.
The role involves supporting the U16 Team Manager with our Under 16 team in their on-going match and training programme. You will be working alongside the Lead Coach for the team, and will be fully supported by other Team Managers, County Coaches and the Head of Performance. As a County, we are passionate about the development of junior golfers, and this role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to make a really positive impact on the lives of aspiring young golfers.

Requirements of the applicant
Enthusiastic, personable, organised and committed
Excellent communication skills
Sound management skills
Able to inspire and motivate junior golfers
Dedicated to supporting junior golf development
A working knowledge of elite junior golf / or a willingness to learn.
Gloucestershire Golf Union Safeguarding and Protecting Children Requirements
This role has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and/or children and in line with England Golf policy persons undertaking this role will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary focus of the role will be to work alongside the U16 Team Manager in organising and running team matches and training events for our Under 16 squad. This will put you in a fantastic position to help players develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and habits required to fulfil their aspirations as a golfer
