Midland 4 Counties Day 1
On Tuesday 15th April, the junior County teams of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire descended on Forest Hills GC to compete over 2 days for the coveted Midland 4 Counties trophy. It was Gloucestershire's turn to host this quadrangular event of and we were delighted that Forest Hills GC agreed to do so. This event has been weather affected in the past few years so everyone's fingers were crossed that the weather would not play havoc in 2025.
After a morning getting to know the golf course the first matches got underway just after lunchtime on 15th April. First up were Gloucestershire v Worcestershire followed by Staffordshire v Warwickshire. The format for all matches over the 2 days is 8 x singles. Well done to Gloucestershire and Staffordshire on their respective victories on Day 1 and with each County playing two further matches on Day 2, all was still to play for.
