The first GGU Championship of the 2025 season was the Junior Team Championship which was played at Knowle GC on Thursday 17th April. With the tournament being cancelled in 2024 due to bad weather and the eventual winners Knowle GC coming from their team performance in the Chipping Sodbury GC junior open. We were delighted that the event was supported by so many clubs from across Gloucestershire and was full with 24 teams. We were thankful for very good weather and favourable scoring conditions throughout the day. After a good days golfing the Brickhampton Court trio of Noah Slatter, William Robinson and Jack Douglas were crowned champions. Their 2/3 stableford score was an impressive 81 points which included a best of the day 44 from Noah Slatter. Just a single point behind on 80 and a valiant defence of their title was the Knowle trio of Millie Jones, Bonnie Hickery and Calum Benton. Back in third place on 79 points were Lucas Searle, Ezme Counsell and Francis Sullivan of Long Ashton.

Our sincere thanks go to the 2024 winners Knowle for hosting the event. Finally, we wish Brickhampton Court all the very best for when they go on to represent Gloucestershire at the England Golf National Finals which are taking place at Spalding GC on 12th & 13th August. We are sure they will do themselves, their club and also the County proud. Good luck!
