South West Schools Results

We had a fantastic day at Enmore Park for the South West Schools Championship. A massive thank you to all the management, members and staff at Enmore for their wonderful hospitality throughout the long day, and 36 holes of golf. The course was in excellent condition and the players enjoyed it immensely. We were supported by our two brilliant referees, Bernie Powell and Janet  Fear , who were kept very busy all day! Stuart Wells, from Somerset Schools, did an excellent job organising the event, and it was a pleasure to support him with it on the day.

Well done to all of the players for their great efforts and, specifically, to the above players for their success in their onward progression, flying the flag for their respective schools associations!

We are very proud that 3 Avon players and 4 Glos players have qualified for the National out of the 12 players qualifying!!

At the National, the top 7 boys and top 5 girls will go on to represent England in the international schools match against Wales later in the year, joined by the boy and girl champion from the U16 National champs.

I will keep you posted on developments after the National champs.
