60 Seniors took to Brickhampton Court GC to compete for the Seniors County Stableford title. The day started with sunshine but there was a threat of rain looking to effect the late starters. Thankfully this didn't materialise but there was a stiff breeze all day that the players had to contend with. All those present had qualified through their club qualifier in either a Lower Division or Higher Division but for the Final, those with Handicap Index's up to 12.4 would be in the Lower Division and for those with Handicap Index's of 12.5 and above would form the Higher Division. The course was presented beautifully by the Greenkeeping team at Brickhampton Court and players enjoyed a 2-course meal following their round. It was nip and tuck at the top but the Divisional scoring was as follows:
Lower Division - Up to 12.4:
1st - Vince Taylor (Cotswold Edge) 36 points
2nd - Timothy Westwood (Bristol & Clifton) 35 points
3rd - Tim Hollingworth (Alexander Park) 34 points
Higher Division - 12.5+:
1st - Nicholas Russell (Henbury) 36 points and Overall Winner
2nd - David Morris (Gloucester) 35 points
3rd - Paddy Weaving (Gloucester) 35 points
Well done to the prize winners above and a special mention for Nicholas Russell as the overall Champion. Thank you to all the clubs who held qualifiers this year and we hope that more clubs will do the same in 2026. Our thanks go to all at Brickhampton Court GC for all that they did to host the event and for their warm hospitality throughout.
