Following the success of last year’s England Golf Club Rules Ambassador programme, England Golf will be delivering a further series of seminars in 2026.
Clubs are encouraged to register one or two delegates, including clubs who already have Club Rules Ambassadors from 2025 and wish to further strengthen the Rules knowledge and support within their club.
At the seminar, attendees will become equipped with improved knowledge and practical understanding of:
The Rules of Golf and handling rulings
Course marking and Local Rules
Terms of the Competition
Pace of play management
Survey results from last year showed that 98% of attendees had an improved understanding of the Rules of Golf and organising competitions under the Rules after the seminar, with the vast majority reporting that they will implement their learnings at their club.
Registering a delegate provides the club with a trained Rules resource and access to ongoing support beyond the seminar itself. Delegates who complete the R&A Level 1 Rules Exam become England Golf Club Rules Ambassadors and receive:
Ongoing support and communication from England Golf on Rules education and managing competitions.
Access to The R&A’s online Level 2 Seminar (to be released soon).
This year will see Gloucestershire host a seminar for the first time. This will be held at The Kendleshire on Tuesday 4 August, with a cost of £55 per delegate – clubs can register their delegate(s) HERE, and are encouraged to do so early. Delegates are not restricted to this seminar, and the full list of dates/venues can be found HERE.
