The Gloucestershire Golf Union (GGU) was originally founded in 1906 and exists as the male governing body for golfers in the County. As it stands today the GGU is a modern, fit for purpose governing body with a sole purpose to promote the amateur game.
The GGU has many responsibilities and notably, Championships for all ages & abilities, County Teams & Elite Player Development, application of the World Handicapping System (WHS), Course Ratings and the general promotion of the amateur game
Don't forget that all GGU affiliated members have access to The County Card - allowing significantly reduced fees for playing at over 1,000 clubs across England and Wales.
